Mineola Library's Summer Reading
Mineola Library invited Mindful Reading to host a table to kick off their annual summer reading event. Very grateful to our wonderful volunteers helping with raffles and fundraising. Also a nice surprise to see Town Supervisor of North Hempstead Jennifer DeSena again.
Summer Pop-up Reading Corner
Kicking off the summer with our pop-up reading corner. Many thanks to the volunteers' help we were also able to fundraise with activities such as decorating slime and bookmarks.
PIX11 News Interview
Madeleine was honored to share her experience writing 2 novels and running Mindful Reading with the PIX11 News audience. In celebration of AAPI Heritage Month, she spoke about the several AAPI bookshelves she has been setting up since the launch of AAPI Stories for Kids initiative.

As Madeleine continues to expand AAPI Stories for Kids, she sets up another AAPI bookshelf at the Chinese-American Planning Council headquarters in NYC Chinatown.

It was so wonderful to set up an AAPI bookshelf for pre-K children at the Lois C. Lee Early Childhood Center.

Madeleine was invited by P.S. 20 to attend a fun and engaging Milk and Bookies event. She read a brief excerpt from Behind the Spotlight and signed 20 copies of her books to give away to the children.

Madeleine was invited to speak at P.S. 94Q for World Read Aloud Day. She also collaborated with them to create AAPI shelf/bins as she continues to increase the reach of AAPI Stories for Kids initiative.

Madeleine loved speaking to the 170 kids at P.S. 2 to share her writing journey and promote the benefits of reading. We also donated 700 books to the school.​

Madeleine had a rewarding experience speaking in front of 100 kids. The kids were so eager to hear what she presented. We also donated 535 books to the school.​
