Book Donations
We collect new and gently-used books through donations and partnerships with other organizations. We also participate in fundraisers for purchasing new books. All books are then donated to underfunded schools. By increasing access to books, we aim to provide children with the tools to fuel their imaginations and improve mental well-being.

Speaking events
Our founder, Madeleine Chin, is a young author of two novels who speaks at schools about her writing journey, the importance of dedication and perseverance, and the positive impact reading can have on mental health and social well-being. Through these events, she builds personal connections and explores meaningful ways to help kids discover a love for reading and writing.

Pop-up reading corners
Starting Summer 2025, we're bringing the joy of reading to local parks throughout our communities with our pop-up reading corners! Kids can explore a wide selection of books while enjoying the outdoors. To make things even more fun, we'll be hosting raffles where lucky readers can win free books!

AAPI Stories for Kids
We believe it's important for kids to see themselves in a story. That's why we are increasing access to books that reflect the diversity and richness of Asian American and Pacific Islander experiences by donating books by AAPI authors and with AAPI characters to schools, libraries and community organizations. Our goal is to ensure that young readers see themselves represented in the stories they read, while also fostering cross-cultural understanding.
